On February 4 (the 7th day of the first lunar month), at Doi Tin field (Tien Son commune, Duy Tien town, Ha Nam province), the 2025 Doi Son Tich Dien Festival took place.
The Tich Dien Festival is a cultural beauty of the people of Doi Son village in particular and of Ha Nam province in general. The festival recreates the tradition of "Di nong vi ban", encouraging agriculture and praying for a year of favorable weather.
According to historical records, the Tich Dien Festival originated when King Le Dai Hanh returned to the foot of Doi mountain to perform the plowing ceremony (Tich Dien) in the spring of Dinh Hoi year, the 7th year of Thien Phuc (987).
On the opening day of the Tich Dien festival, there are rituals: carrying drums and the spirit tablet of King Le Dai Hanh from Long Doi Son pagoda down to the foot of the mountain and joining the procession of the village's tutelary god and the Doi Tam drum maker at the foot of Doi mountain. After that, the procession heads to the rice fields where King Le Dai Hanh plowed at the beginning of the year to encourage people to grow rice and take care of agriculture.

After the incense offering ceremony at the altar of the God of Agriculture, the spirit tablet of King Le and the gods of fortune, elder Nguyen Ngoc An (Tien Son commune) performed the ritual of entering the king's spirit, stepping down to plow the first plows to open the Tich Dien festival. Following the king was a group of young girls sowing seeds including green beans, peanuts and rice.
After the king finished plowing the fields, the local leaders and old farmers would plow the fields for 9 hours.
The Doi Son Tich Dien Festival in 2025 will be held for 3 days, from February 2 to 4 (ie January 5 to 7, At Ty year).

Also within the framework of the festival, yesterday (February 3), the Ha Nam Literature and Arts Association organized a buffalo decoration painting contest for the Tich Dien Doi Son Festival in 2025. The contest gathered 20 artists and groups of artists from many provinces and cities, such as: Hanoi, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Phu Tho, Ha Nam to participate in painting and decorating good and healthy buffaloes with colorful images.
