On February 25 (the 9th day of the first lunar month), at the Huyen Tran Cultural Center (151 Thien Thai, An Cuu ward, Hue City), the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City organized the opening ceremony of the Huyen Tran Temple Festival Spring Binh Ngo 2026, attracting thousands of people and tourists to offer incense and worship.
This year's festival is themed "Ngưỡng vọng Tiền nhân - Dấu thiêng mở cõi", taking place on February 24 and 25 (January 8 and 9), is a key activity within the framework of Hue Festival 2026. The event also marks the 720th anniversary of the formation and development of Thuan Hoa - Phu Xuan - Hue land.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Phan Thanh Hai - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City emphasized that the festival is not only a cultural and spiritual activity at the beginning of spring but also an occasion to commemorate and show gratitude to Princess Huyen Tran, a historical figure who contributed to the process of expanding the nation's borders. Through this, sending wishes for a new year of "National peace and prosperity - Phong dieu vu thuận".
From early morning, crowds flocked to Ngu Phong mountain to participate in solemn rituals. The ceremony was organized according to traditional rituals combined with Buddhist rituals such as Hung Tac ceremony, Bach Phat khai kinh ceremony, praying for national peace and prosperity, Tien Thuong ceremony (commemoration ceremony), Cong Thi ceremony, Nhien Hoa Dang. The highlight is the Ky Duc Ba Cong Chua Huyen Tran ceremony taking place on the morning of the 9th day of the first lunar month with incense offering ceremony and solemn ritual music.

Parallel to the ceremony part is a series of rich cultural and artistic activities: drum performances, Hue songs, folk songs, folk instrumental performances, Bai Choi, traditional martial arts; calligraphy performances, conical hat making; art exhibitions, Ao Dai paintings; brocade fashion performances; Hue tea space and typical products serving tourists.
According to the organizers, maintaining the festival periodically on the 9th day of the first lunar month every year contributes to educating patriotism, fostering the morality of "drinking water, remembering the source", and at the same time promoting the image of the ancient capital, linking cultural development with tourism, creating a spiritual destination at the beginning of spring for people and tourists from all directions.
