In the afternoon of March 12, 2026, Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee Phung Thi Kim Nga chaired a conference to listen to a report on some contents of the opening program of the Hung Kings Commemoration Festival - Hung Temple Festival and the Culture - Tourism Week of the Earth of Origin in Binh Ngo year - 2026.
Accordingly, the Hung Kings Commemoration - Hung Temple Festival and Culture - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land this year are organized at the provincial level, from April 17 - 26, 2026 (ie from October 1 - 10 of the 3rd year of Binh Ngo) in Hy Cuong commune, Hung Temple historical relic area and communes and wards in the province.
With the theme "Spirit of the origin - Hung Kings' Land", the opening ceremony of the festival is expected to start from 8 pm on April 17 at Hung Kings Square, Viet Tri ward, including the ceremony part and art program.
For the art program, it will include 3 chapters: Chapter 1 - "Spirit of the Roots"; Chapter 2 - "Returning to the Heritage Region"; Chapter 3 - "Phu Tho rising up with the country", with the participation of over 700 singers and actors from the Central and local levels.
The Street Folk Culture Festival program has the theme "Sound of Origin", a duration of 120 minutes, including the ritual part and the festival part.
In which, the festival part is the highlight with the participation of 18 delegations, each delegation has from 50 - 100 mass actors performing parades on the central streets of 2 wards Thanh Mieu, Viet Tri.
At the program, the delegations will carry models, symbols and perform many typical and unique traditional rituals, imbued with the cultural identity of the people of all ethnic groups in Phu Tho province such as: Hung King Festival teaching people to grow rice, Xoan Singing Festival, Tay Thien Festival, Khai Ha Festival...
Bringing the Tay Thien festival (old Vinh Phuc) and the Khai Ha festival (old Hoa Binh) into the series of activities of the Hung Temple Festival and the Culture - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land carries profound cultural, historical and solidarity meanings, affirming the message of "one child in one package".
This is a way for Dat To Phu Tho to once again consolidate the symbol of "spiritual cultural convergence". Along with that, this connection creates inter-regional cultural tourism routes, attracting tourists not only to Hung Temple but also to landmarks, learning about the unique culture in Vinh Phuc and Hoa Binh in the past.
According to Vice Chairman of Phu Tho Provincial People's Committee Phung Thi Kim Nga, this is a particularly meaningful event, aimed at introducing the potential, strengths, and attractiveness of Phu Tho tourism and creating a unique cultural highlight, contributing to stimulating tourism demand, attracting a large number of people and tourists to participate in festival activities.
