On May 28, according to information obtained by reporters, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Duc - former Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hue City was transferred to a new position.
Accordingly, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Hue City issued a decision to transfer Mr. Nguyen Dinh Duc to work as a specialist at the Department of Irrigation Works Management and Rural Clean Water under the Sub-Department of Irrigation and Climate Change.
According to the decision, the mobilization period takes effect from May 27, 2026.
Previously, the Hue City Party Committee held a conference under the chairmanship of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation.
At the conference, the Hue City Party Committee considered and decided to impose disciplinary action in the form of a warning on Mr. Nguyen Dinh Duc - City Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, concurrently Chief of the Coordinating Office of the National Target Program for New Rural Development of Hue City.
According to the conclusion, during his tenure from November 2021 to December 2023, Mr. Duc was irresponsible, did not fully perform his assigned responsibilities and tasks; lax leadership, lacked inspection and supervision in signing contractor selection and contract implementation with Cat Tuong Quan Media Co., Ltd.
Thereby, allowing businesses to forge dossiers and documents for acceptance, payment, and embezzlement of money, causing loss to the State budget.
Hue City Party Committee assessed that the violations and shortcomings of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Duc caused serious consequences, reducing the prestige of individuals and Party organizations in the workplace.
