In a conversation lasting nearly an hour with host Mai Thanh Ha, My Tam shared for the first time about her inner beliefs that have followed her throughout her career journey.
I have never dreamed of becoming famous. Not because I didn't think about it, but because I knew for sure I would be famous," My Tam said.
According to the female singer, since she was still studying at the Ho Chi Minh City Conservatory of Music, she has clearly defined her artistic path. Participating in singing contests, performing at tea rooms or small stages helps her gradually affirm herself and nurture her belief in choosing a career.
Throughout more than two decades of artistic activity, My Tam has not only maintained the position of a music star but also gradually expanded into the field of cinema.
From the project "My Assistant Sister" - a film she directed, screened and starred in, to the documentary "Tri Am The Movie: Timekeeper", the female artist shows seriousness in her filmmaking journey.
Most recently, she continued to try her hand at the role of producer and actress in the movie project "Tai" directed by Mai Tai Phen.

Sharing at the podcast, My Tam said that transitioning from singer to filmmaker is not easy at all. She once faced great pressure when making her debut film.
Before "My Assistant" was released, there were nights when I wondered what I was doing, whether this decision was right. I burst into tears because of pressure," she recalled.
According to My Tam, making films is a challenging journey, from scripting, production to facing audience reactions after the film is released. However, those experiences help her mature more in creative thinking.
Coming to the "Tai" project, the female singer said that she has a calmer and more confident attitude thanks to the experience accumulated from previous projects.
I always start work with discipline and a clear plan. When you enter a project, you have to do your best," My Tam shared.
The female artist also emphasized that talent can only develop sustainably when accompanied by personal discipline. This is also advice she gives to young people who want to pursue art.
Even if you think you don't have talent, just having passion and discipline can still go far," she said.
A noteworthy part of the conversation was when My Tam and Mai Thanh Ha discussed the "awake" lifestyle - the inspiration in many recent music projects of the female singer, especially the See the light show and the song "Chuyen de day".
According to My Tam, whether making movies or music, the ultimate goal is still to bring positive energy to the audience.
I want my music to help people feel lighter, appreciate the present and live happier," she said.
