Possessing a fortune of nearly 30 times transforming into a police soldier on the small screen, actress Bao Anh has become a beloved face for television viewers. However, for the male actor, the role of Lieutenant Colonel Vu Ba Tan in the prime-time movie "White Fire" is the most harsh and dramatic challenge in his career.
Nearly twenty years attached to the acting profession, Bao Anh almost spent his youth wearing police uniforms. The peak was in 2017 and 2018, on average each year he took on 3 to 4 police roles in large and small projects. This repetition is both a strength but also a significant pressure for the male actor in renewing himself through each role.
When asked about the difference of this role, Bao Anh confided that when wearing a police uniform, the image of a police officer cannot be different, from demeanor to speaking style.
Therefore, the image and color of this role are not too different from previous characters.

The biggest challenge for the character Lieutenant Colonel Vu Ba Tan lies in the psychological depth when this is a very heavy image of emotional development. In the film, the male actor must continuously perform inner struggles and tense intellectual battles through each segment. The character not only fights intelligence with formidable and sophisticated drug criminals but also has to fight intelligence with himself to overcome hidden corners, maintaining the ideals of a police officer.
The fierceness of the film does not only stop at the script but is present right at the studio from the first day of filming. Actor Bao Anh admitted that the director put him in an extremely difficult position when he asked him to stand on a narrow wall at the height of the 5th floor without safety ropes, right next to it is a vast open space.
Talking about this memorable experience, Bao Anh shared: "This is the first time I went to film and had to analyze the mortality rate. Because standing on the wall is only a hand span away from falling freely. Actually, at that time, I thought a little about my wife and children, because if I stood on the wall, I could still stand, but it was extremely difficult to both stand and act. Although the scene took place in a short time, I tripped once but luckily no incident occurred.
The actor further confided about the moment of life and death: "That moment, although extremely short, I understand that it will help the actor try to express the image of police officers, especially police officers working in the field of drug investigation, facing dangerous crimes every hour, every day, every year or even throughout their lives. My efforts as well as many other co-stars are nothing compared to the actual experiences of police officers.
Born in 1981, Bao Anh entered the art path after graduating from an acting training course at the Television Film Production Center - Vietnam Television (VFC).
With a handsome, masculine and dignified face, he is often tailor-made by directors for serious roles. Before "White Fire", he had a strong impression in a series of crime blockbusters such as "The Judge", "Labyrinth", "Crocodile Files", "Mirror Mask", "Black Drug".
The movie "White Fire" is a political miniseries revolving around the arduous fight against drug crime of the people's police force.
The project is directed by Bui Quoc Viet, gathering a cast of familiar talented actors such as Meritorious Artist Ho Phong, Duy Hung, Viet Hoa, Truong Hoang. The film promises to bring the most breathtaking and realistic footage to the audience when it officially airs after the movie The First Promise ends.
