Chinese media reported that singer and actor Tiet Si Lang has turned himself in at Vinh Hoa Police Station, Tan Bac City (Taiwan, China) for evading military service.
Tiet Si Lang is a former member of the hip-hop group Da Mouth, which won the Golden Melody Awards twice for Best Performance Group.
After switching to acting, Tiet Si Lang achieved outstanding results with 2 wins at the Golden Bell Awards for Best Actor in a TV series, and won the Best Supporting Actor award in a short film.
Tiet Si Lang stated that he had asked someone to forge a health certificate with a certificate of high blood pressure to avoid having to join the army.
When the police launched a search in May 2025, the actor answered an interview admitting that he had not been called up for military service, with the reason "herited high blood pressure in the family", and after 3 health checks, he was determined to not be eligible for military service.
After the investigation, the prosecution agency found that Tiet Si Lang had signs of serious crimes, including violations of the "Law on punishing acts of obstructing military service" and the crime of "forging documents" under the Penal Code.
The Procuracy allowed the actor to be released on bail after depositing a guarantee of 300,000 Yards (about 250 million VND).
Tiet Si Lang is the 40th person identified as involved in the "civil exploitation" case that is causing a stir in Taiwan (China), and he is the 17th artist on the list.
According to the investigation, the "civil service evasion group" led by Tran Chi Minh, active since 2016, specializes in helping young men circumvent the law to evade military service.
Since May 2024, Tran Chi Minh has been wanted for being involved in other cases, so he assigned his subordinate Ly Minh Than to be in charge of taking those who wanted to evade his duty to see a doctor.
Tran Chi Minh instructed these people how to hold their breath and hire others to measure their blood pressure instead to get a fake diagnosis of "heavy high blood pressure".
After that, these people used fake health certificates to submit to the District Office, the Department of Military Service or the Department of Public Security, asking for changes in health classification to be exempted from military service.

The incident started to explode when actor Vuong Dai Luc was arrested at his home in Taipei (Taiwan, China) in February for investigation. He stated that he had entrusted a " foundation operator of evasion of duty" to support the procedures for dismissal of duty, with a fee of up to 3.6 million yuan (about 3 billion VND).
By October, many artists such as Tu Kiet Khai, Khon Dat, Tran Ba Lam, Truong Thu Vy, Lieu Vinh Kiet... were also exposed thanks to messages on Vuong Dai Luc's phones.
Before Tet Si Lang, at the end of October, actor Duong Chan Cuong and two regular locals turned themselves in. To date, a total of 6 people have surrendered and the case is still being investigated by the Procuracy.
