The Folk Fine Arts Ceramics Exhibition introduces 112 statues and groups of statues that collector Phan Quoc Dung has worked hard to collect and preserve for more than 30 years. With passion and love for folk art, collector Phan Quoc Dung travels across the Northern Delta and Midlands, from Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa to Bac Ninh, Hai Duong, Bac Giang, Hai Phong... to collect each ceramic statue.
The ceramic statue set is displayed with the strong Vietnamese spirit, vividly recreating the image of the ancient people in their activities of labor, daily life, beliefs and harmony with nature. Through each standing shape, look, pose and layout, viewers feel the breath of history, where Vietnamese village culture is formed, developed and spread.

In particular, the statues are not only the product of folk pottery techniques, but also contain profound humane messages about courage to overcome harsh nature, about the desire for peace, love for the homeland, about the belief of survival and the wish for a prosperous and happy life...
The exhibition takes place at the Center for Culture, Cinema and Exhibition of Hai Phong City ( Behind the statue of female General Le Chan) until June 3. This is an opportunity for the city's public, researchers, artists and domestic visitors to access, admire and learn about the aesthetic, historical and national values through ceramic art. Thereby, contributing to arousing pride and awareness of preserving cultural heritage, spreading love for folk art - an indispensable part of Vietnamese cultural identity.
