On April 21, at Tay Bac Square, the Provincial People's Committee organized the Son La Book and Science and Technology Festival 2026, attracting a large number of students and people to participate.

The event is organized to celebrate Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day (April 21), towards Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18). At the same time, responding to World Innovation and Renovation Day launched by the United Nations.
The festival has the participation of communes, wards, telecommunications businesses and many schools and training institutions in the area. The event space is designed diversely, combining reading culture and technology experience.

Here, many rich activities are organized such as: Reading space, exhibition of "Intellectual House" booths, mobile library cars, "Golden Bell Ringing" contest, stage performance of literary works and historical events, and special art programs.
In addition, participants also experienced technology booths with programming, robotics/robotics, and innovation content. The pro-cycling parade and the opening ceremony of the Provincial Data Center also created highlights for the festival.


Ha Mai Huong, a student of class 8A5, Nguyen Trai Secondary School, shared: "The first time participating in the festival, I was presented about the'Intellectual House' of To Hieu ward. I hope the book and technology space will spread more strongly to students and people.


Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh - Principal of Binh Minh International Primary, Secondary and High School, said: "The school brings many good books, and at the same time builds an'Intellectual House' space for students to experience. Thereby contributing to arousing passion for reading and learning science.

The festival not only creates a useful playground but also contributes to promoting reading culture, encouraging the application of science and technology in life, towards building a learning society in the province.
