Sneak" into the hotel room of Anh trai say hi runner-up - RHYDER
Season 1 of the reality TV show "Anh trai say hi" was held in 2024 and achieved unimaginable success. The program caused a stir on social networking forums; champion HIEUTHUHAI, runner-up RHYDER "stormed" across platforms, melting millions of female fans.
Immediately after the program closed, a series of large-scale concerts were planned to be held. Concert tickets were "out of stock" just a few minutes after opening for sale.
At the end of December 2024, the first concert of Hello Brother season 1 will be held at My Dinh National Stadium.
We contacted and interviewed the crew of runner-up RHYDER very early. At that time, right after stepping out of "Hello Brother", HIEUTHUHAI and RHYDER became 2 "hot" names in the performing market, with high shows and skyrocketing cat-xe prices.
When discussing the interview appointment, RHYDER said that the male singer's performance schedule and rehearsal schedule are tight, only a few hours left on the night of December 5th, 2 days before the concert (the concert takes place on the evening of December 7th).
We agreed to "attack" at RHYDER's hotel room, conduct a talk show (video interview) here at 7 pm, around the middle of RHYDER's training schedule at My Dinh Stadium.
The hotel is located next to the national stadium. We arrived very early, around 6 pm. RHYDER and the "older brothers" at that time were still rehearsing the performance in My Dinh. At about 7 pm, RHYDER was at the hotel.

RHYDER is a familiar face to... reporters. We have interviewed and followed RHYDER's journey since the male singer, 12-year-old Nguyen Quang Anh, won the championship of The Voice Kids Vietnam 2013.
RHYDER is small and humble. He was somewhat confused when he opened the door of the hotel room with messy belongings. Very quickly, the room was rearranged into a... studio. The sofa near the window is the "main setting" of the talk show.
For more than 1 hour, the conversation took place intimately when we recalled the time RHYDER was still Quang Anh, who struggled because his music was not accepted and intended to leave Ho Chi Minh City to return to his hometown of Thanh Hoa. It was his passion for music that kept him, helping the boy of that day to constantly strive and try to become RHYDER as he is today.
The cramped hotel room suddenly becomes cozy with the atmosphere of a sincere conversation, before the humility and gentleness of the boy who once overcame poverty to suddenly become a star.
Punctuality
On-time" is often a "nightmare" at each appointment. With interview appointments as well, each artist, each guest will have different ways of "behaving" regarding punctuality.
There was a prejudice about "80 - 90% of artists are often late". Even, they can cancel appointments, cancel interview schedules at the last minute.
After many years in the profession, we realize that there are... paradoxes. Elderly artists are often very punctual. People's Artist Bui Bai Binh also arrived 15 minutes early to have time to drink water, park his car, and then enter the studio to conduct an interview.
People's Artist Trung Anh arrived 5 minutes early. He said that he has had a habit of "being on time" for a long time. He considers it a way to show respect to the person he made appointments with. Because of this, People's Artist Trung Anh often feels uncomfortable with those who are often late, late, or even may arrive 1-2 hours late compared to the scheduled time.
Meritorious Artist Chi Trung affirmed that he suffers from " punctuality" in a "haunting" way. He always schedules appointments, sets time accurately, and accurately aligns the travel time to get to the appointment location just in time. He does not want anyone to wait for him, because time for everyone is gold and silver.
On the contrary, many young artists are often late. The reasons given by many artists are "too tight schedule", "too much traffic jam", "flight delay"... Some beauty queens even asked us to interview them at 2 pm, but at 1:55 pm, the beauty queen's team reported "canceling the schedule", not accepting interviews, with the reason that the beauty queen was suddenly sick.
Tears of guests
At the studio - where we conduct talk shows and interviews - we also witnessed the emotion and tears of many characters and guests. Their stories made even us silent because of emotion.
People's Artist Thanh Hoa cried when talking about her youth in the Truong Son forests in the years of bombs and bullets, cried when many of her comrades lay forever in the old forest, cried when peace was so beautiful that it always made her silent and moved.
People's Artist Lan Huong "Hanoi Baby" was moved when recalling the journey to find her daughter in Germany. The joy of reuniting has become a strong motivation to help her return to the screen in the movie "The People Living Beside Me".

Former wushu athlete Thuy Hien tearfully recounted her journey of fighting depression, overcoming her own limits to continue a life of dedication. Thuy Hien participated in the program "Sisters Who Make Waves" as a way to revive herself, continue to strive, and find joy in life.
At the 7th floor studio of the Lao Dong newsroom, many people came to us. When sharing about the journey they have gone through in life, about gains and losses, breakdowns and things found again, they were tearful, cried, and shared sincerely.
Meeting, being listened to, sharing emotions with artists and characters is also the happiness of a journalist.
