When asked by reporters about the audience seeing her quite restrained in accepting films and stage plays, was it because life was full?
In response, artist Kieu Oanh shared: "If we say "enough" in the sense of material things and large assets, it is definitely not. But I have been preparing for my life for a long time. I live simply, without any branded goods, not eating or playing. I am happy with braised fish rice, sour soup, boiled vegetables.
I have been singing and performing for decades, accumulating a little bit of my income. More importantly, I know how to "use it to warm up" - arrange expenses, save a large sum of money for my children to study, no matter how difficult I have it. For me, being rich now is: having food every day, children receiving proper education, not having serious illnesses, still being able to work. That's rich."
Kieu Oanh added that she is not currently under so much economic pressure that she has to accept the role at all costs. She would accept any role that she finds suitable, if she found she could contribute something to the work, if her health allowed, she would stay home with her children and family.
Regarding her current income, Kieu Oanh revealed: "I still perform on stage, especially in provinces, remote areas and areas. The audience in my hometown loves me very much. They have known me since the days of comedy videos, Cai Luong, and TV roles.
Programs in the province are usually short comedy performances, a few ancient recitals, and a couple of music songs. In short, it is a small "package", just enough to make the audience happy. I don't travel as much as before because my health doesn't allow me to stay up all night, move constantly, but still. Thanks to that, I have a stable source of income, enough to take care of my family and continue working."
