The sound of bells and wooden bells mixed with whispers praying for peace and blessings create a sound that is both magical and sacred. Throughout the pagoda courtyard is a scene of people bustlingly standing to take pictures, exchanging New Year greetings, and endless laughter.

Children follow their grandparents and parents, wearing colorful ao dai and turbans, looking excitedly at the bustling atmosphere of the first day of the new year.

Also in Xu Lang, not far away, Bac Nga Pagoda (Ky Lua ward) is also no less bustling. The road leading to the pagoda is crowded with people walking around, groups of families support each other step up the slope, everyone wants to set foot in the main hall to burn incense at the beginning of the year.

Stalls selling offerings, red couplets, fresh fruits and confectionery create a scene that is both festival and imbued with the traditional Tet identity. Under the shade of trees, people exchange warm smiles and wishes for a new year of peace and prosperity.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thao (Hung Viet commune, Phu Tho province) - shared: "I am a daughter-in-law of Lang Son, every year on the 1st day of Tet I go to the pagoda at the beginning of the year to wish both paternal and maternal families good health, good luck, and smooth work.

Going to the pagoda on the first day of the new year is not only a cultural custom but also the beginning of hope and luck throughout the year. Spring colors, people's voices, the smell of agarwood and the first sunshine of the year blend together, creating a Tet picture in Lang Son that is both bustling and full of spirituality.
