On the evening of December 31st, thousands of people flocked to 2 places to welcome the New Year in Quang Tri province. In Bao Ninh 1 Urban Area (Regal Legend, Vo Nguyen Giap street, Dong Hoi ward), the festival atmosphere attracted a large number of people and tourists.
Ms. Thanh Phuong (tourist from Ha Tinh) said that her family chose Quang Tri as a stopover for the 4-day vacation. According to her, the space in Bao Ninh 1 Urban Area is lively, crowded and has many diverse dishes. After tonight's program, her family will continue their journey to Hue and Da Nang cities.
In Bao Ninh 1 Urban Area, the program takes place from 8:00 PM on December 31, 2025 to 0:30 AM on January 1, 2026, including food stalls, OCOP, entertainment activities at Night Street, Pedestrian Street and along Hoang Van street; art performances; low-altitude fireworks displays from 5-10 minutes with 45 platforms.
In Nam Dong Ha ward, the New Year welcoming program takes place from 3:00 PM on December 31, 2025 to 1:00 AM on January 1, 2026 at the Culture and Cinema Center (facility 2).
The highlight is the art program with the message "Quang Tri - Magnificent Nature, heroic memories", applying image - lighting technology, modern electronic music and countdown rituals to welcome the new year. Spaces displaying photos, tourism products, OCOP and local cuisine are also arranged to serve visitors.
Besides these 2 locations, Quang Tri province also organizes another location in Phong Nha - Ke Bang with a special art program.
