On the morning of September 2nd, a large number of people were present early in Ba Dinh Square to wait for the flag-raising ceremony and take photos next to Uncle Ho's Mausoleum on National Day.

From about 5:30 am on September 2nd, crowds began to gather in the Ba Dinh Square area. Many families, groups of young people and tourists from provinces and cities were present early to wait to witness the flag-raising ceremony on the 81st anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026).

In the early morning weather, the area in front of President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum is brilliant with the red color of the national flag and yellow star-shaped shirts.

Although having to wait from early morning, many people still could not hide their excitement when directly witnessing the flag-raising ceremony at Ba Dinh Square.

At exactly 5:50 am, the team performing the flag-raising ceremony entered Ba Dinh Square in a solemn atmosphere. At 6 am, the National Anthem sounded, the red flag with a yellow star was slowly pulled to the top of the flagpole in the emotion of a large number of people present here.

Phan Thi Van (22 years old, Cao Bang) said that she had come to Hanoi the day before to be able to directly witness the flag-raising ceremony on National Day morning.

I came to Hanoi yesterday so that today I can directly watch the flag-raising ceremony at Ba Dinh Square on National Day 2. 9. This is the first time I have come to Uncle Ho's Mausoleum as well as witnessed this ceremony. I feel very proud and happy, touched," Phan Thi Van shared.

For the young female tourist, the trip to Hanoi on National Day is not only a sightseeing trip but also a special opportunity to witness the sacred moment at Ba Dinh Square.

The joy of being immersed in the atmosphere of National Day is also evident on the faces of many people in the Capital. Ms. Huong (32 years old, Hanoi) said that she and her family woke up early to be present at Ba Dinh Square.

I and my family went very early to be here, enjoying the special atmosphere of National Day. When directly witnessing the flag-raising ceremony, I felt very touched and proud," Ms. Huong said.

Not only young people or Hanoi residents, on the morning of September 2nd, many families from localities also brought their young children to Ba Dinh Square.

Many parents said they want their children to directly feel the solemn and sacred atmosphere of the great holiday of the nation.

After the flag-raising ceremony ended, the crowd still lingered in the area of President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum. Families took the opportunity to take photos, recording memorable moments on National Day.

Many young children were dressed by their parents in red and yellow star flag shirts, holding small national flags and excitedly posing in front of Ba Dinh Square. Groups of young people also lined up, waiting for their turn to take photos in the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum area.
