From more than 6 am on September 2nd, the area in front of Hoa Lo Prison Relic (Hanoi) was crowded with people. Crowds stretched from the relic gate area to many surrounding streets, patiently waiting for their turn to visit.
On the occasion of National Day September 2nd, Hoa Lo Prison Relic opened for free to tourists, causing the number of visitors to increase from early morning. In the line of people, there are many families, groups of young people, tourists from provinces and cities, and even international visitors.
Despite having to wait in a somewhat hot weather, many people still showed excitement and joy. The atmosphere of National Day and the opportunity to visit a famous historical address of the Capital made waiting seem to become part of the experience.
Mr. Mai Anh Bao (38 years old, Hanoi) said that his family was present at the Hoa Lo Prison Relic from more than 6 am to queue.
I feel extremely excited to visit with my family today. This is also the first time I have directly visited the Hoa Lo Prison Relic with family members. Although we had to come early and wait, we were still very excited," Mr. Bao shared.
According to records, towards noon, the number of people flocking to Hoa Lo Prison became more and more crowded. Lines of people lined up across many streets.
Not only Hanoi people, many families from neighboring localities also take advantage of the holidays to bring their children to learn about history.
Ms. Ngo Phuong Lan (43 years old, Hung Yen) said that her family proactively came to Hanoi very early because they predicted that the number of customers on National Day would be large.
My family had planned in advance that there would be a lot of people visiting today, so we were present at nearly 6 am to queue. We are very happy to have the opportunity to visit for free on National Day. Everyone is eagerly waiting for their turn to enter inside," Ms. Lan said.
In the line of people, many parents brought their young children, hoping that they would have more opportunities to learn about national history through artifacts, documents and stories preserved at the relic.
Under the sun of the early morning of September, long lines of people still patiently followed each other.
The waiting atmosphere is not too tense because the excitement and smiles are still clearly visible on the faces of many tourists.
