In the days leading up to the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, when night falls, the space of the ancient town becomes bustling with folk art activities such as: Xam singing, Cheo singing, folk instrument concerts... attracting a large number of people and tourists. The new highlight here is the reality circus program "Hero of the Grass Flag", recreating Dinh Bo Linh's journey of building the country from his childhood to the uprising of 12 warlords, establishing Dai Co Viet. Thereby, reviving the historical space, arousing national pride and spirit towards the roots.
As a new cultural and entertainment destination of Ninh Binh province, the Festival Axis and Times Square (Ha Nam ward) are forming a space for living and experiencing the night with a modern water music system, art performance nights, and light festivals held regularly, creating a harmonious intersection between traditional and modern elements.
Here, the symbol of Doi Tam Drum - National Intangible Cultural Heritage is stylized, carved with motifs of cultural heritage, recreating the story of life and labor of Vietnamese people. This space both creates landscape highlights, honors cultural values, and opens up the potential for night tourism development for the province in a modern and sustainable direction.
Ninh Binh has built many unique nightlife products and tours such as: Visiting Bai Dinh Pagoda at night; admiring fireflies and rare animals at night in Cuc Phuong National Park; Tam Coc pedestrian street combined with street food and art; cultural, tourism, music, and night fashion festivals...
Mr. Bui Van Manh - Director of Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism - said that Ninh Binh province identifies the cultural and tourism industry as a key economic cluster. In which, night tourism is an important direction to increase value, extend stay time and improve the competitiveness of destinations.
The province orients development towards green, creative and sustainable directions, taking cultural and natural heritage as the foundation, taking people and communities as the center, and taking businesses and markets as the driving force. At the same time, ensuring harmony between preservation and development, between traditional values and the requirements of modern economy and international integration.
Night tourism development associated with cuisine is identified by the province as a field with great potential, capable of effectively connecting heritage preservation, innovation and tourism service development. Cuisine is not only preserved as a traditional cultural value but also developed into a unique cultural industrial product, with high creative content, commercialization ability, brand building and expanding cooperation and investment opportunities" - Mr. Manh shared.
