Although there are scenes in the film where Hai Man is in love with detective Kien, Dinh Ngoc Diep commented that he did not "csare up" to attract the audience.
"Cumbers may happen, but Victor Vu has never thought about using PR or Marketing to manipulate audience emotions. We don't need to "pair" or create tricks to promote the film. For me, doing so is no different from deceiving the audience" - Dinh Ngoc Diep said.
Director Victor Vu commented that he has cherished to bring the audience a unique ancient detective story, possibly the first work of this genre in Vietnam. This is a dream he has pursued for a long time. If the audience continues to love him, he is very excited to expand the journey of this character in the future.
"I did not set a specific revenue target from the beginning. What I care about most is whether the audience feels the message and emotions I want to convey through the film. The success of a film, for me, is not about numbers but whether it leaves a deep impression on viewers or not. From there, I will consider whether the next script is worth opening a new chapter for this story" - director Victor Vu shared.
In particular, People's Artist My Uyen - who plays Mrs. Vuong in the film is predicted to be a surprise factor. Because according to the female artist, although she really wants to promote her role, director Victor Vu always wants to "hide her role" to surprise the audience.
