The film Surely Tomorrow revolves around the couple Lee Gyeong Do (Park Seo Joon) and Seo Ji Woo (Won Ji An). They first met at the age of 20 at a drama club and developed feelings for each other but broke up later.
8 years later, the two dated again but continued to be apart. Many years later, they meet again - when Gyeong Do is a reporter reporting an affair scandal and Ji Woo is the wife of the man at the center of the incident.
Sharing about the film, Park Seo Joon hopes that the characters' stories will make many people sympathize. For him, Gyeong Do and Ji Woo's relationship is still intact after many years and attracted to each other - like a "magnet".
Sharing about his co-star, the actor said that since the cast picked the actor, he was very curious and looking forward to the actor who would play Ji Woo.
The first time I met Won Ji An, she had the same charisma that I imagined of Ji Woo, so I became more confident in the film. Because this is a work with many emotional scenes, we trusted and relied on each other a lot during filming.
Meanwhile, Won Ji An also said that on set, she often discussed a lot with director and senior Park Seo Joon about how to perform the scenes.
Leading such a stressful story for a long time made me feel physically and mentally exhausted, but every time that happened, Seo Joon took good care of me. Thanks to him, I learned a lot, and I am very grateful for that.
Previously, director Im Hyun Wook described Lee Gyeong Do as like a tree that clings to its roots, standing firm against all storms, while Seo Ji Woo like a sparkling candle in the wind fragile but still shining in its own way.
The casting process begins with finding people who can naturally express this contrast. He assessed that Park Seo Joon and Won Ji An have grasped the emotional nuances of the characters and interacted well on set.
Surely Tomorrow is scheduled to premiere on the evening of December 6.
