Pursuant to Decision 3651/QD-BVHTTDL dated October 16, 2025 on launching the Song Composition Contest on the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MOCST) issued a Decision approving the Competition's Regulations.
On the morning of November 13, at the launching ceremony of the contest, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong emphasized: "This is a meaningful activity, to honor the value, spirit and identity of those who are day and night contributing to the cause of "building and developing an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity".
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism affirms that music always has a special power - touching the heart, arousing pride and connecting people. A good song can become a spiritual symbol, live forever over time, and be sung in emulation movements, festivals or on stages across the country.
For that reason, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism launched the Song Composition Contest on the Culture, Sports and Tourism Industry, with the desire to find new works with high artistic value and influence, praising the faith, love for the profession and aspiration to contribute of the team of cadres, civil servants, artists, athletes and workers in the industry.
This is also an opportunity to arouse creative inspiration in the artists and writers, create songs accompanying the industry, and contribute to spreading the message: "Culture is the spiritual foundation of society, both a goal and a driving force for the country's sustainable development."
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism is committed to organizing a fair, transparent, and serious contest, with the participation of prestigious musicians and experts in the Jury, in order to select truly worthy works.

The winning songs will be widely popular throughout the industry, staged and performed in major events, concerts, and art programs, contributing to spreading the spirit of "Solidarity - Creativity - Development".
The contestants include professional and non-professional musicians who are Vietnamese citizens or foreigners living, studying and working in Vietnam; music lovers with the ability to compose (collectively referred to as authors). Members of the Organizing Committee and the Jury are allowed to submit works but are not considered for awards, and only receive separate awards if the song is of high quality and suitable for the theme.
The contest received works in many genres such as: chamber, light music, contemporary folk, jazz, rock, pop, solo, group. The song must praise the tradition, role and contribution of the Culture, Sports and Tourism sector; honor national culture, sustainable sports and tourism spirit; arouse pride and inspiration for innovation in the entire sector. The work needs to have a beautiful melody, clear structure, clear and easy-to-remember Vietnamese lyrics.
The work submitted to the contest must be newly composed, never published or participated in any contest; not strictly violating customs and comply with the law. The song must have enough music and lyrics, recording or handwriting clearly on A4 paper, with an audio recording if any. The Organizing Committee will encrypt the work before transferring it to the Jury.
The expected time to receive entries is from November 13 to December 15, 2025. After that, the selection Council selected 15 typical songs to send to units under the Ministry and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the provinces/cities for voting. The voting results are the basis for the Council to decide on the structure and ranking of the award.
The awards include: 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes, which can be adjusted depending on the quality of the work. The closing ceremony and award ceremony are scheduled to take place on December 31, 2025 in Hanoi.
