Musician Minh Ca Ri (real name Nguyen Cong Minh), born in 1998, " gave birth" to the songs "De dong com", "La em", "La khi em co anh ban chieu", "mua tang qua"...
Sharing with Lao Dong reporter about the current state of AI music, Minh Ca Ri confided his own concerns and views. He emphasized that AI cannot replace human emotions, artists must know how to control their own lyrics in their compositions before the community has to speak up.
Music is a multi-dimensional mirror
The musician recalled the period when Indie artists self-posted music to soundCloud: Starting my journey from the independent music industry (independent music - indie) which was very developed in Vietnam in 2016 - 2018, when each artist could self-report their own products through a free online platform called soundcloud without having to go through digital platforms or cooperate with professional release units, I witnessed many surrounding music egos slowly trying to reach audiences.
Independent music works are considered "precious gems" waiting to be discovered, and the audience also loves the feeling of finding those gems in the vast ocean of the platform.
Many music composers come from Soundcloud, bringing music to the public through other media channels - or as I and my friends often joke with each other: from underground to mainstream".
At present, AI singing Trinh music in Rock style or AI composing songs with millions of views are posing a challenge for artists and singers.
Speaking more about musicians composing at a time when AI is increasingly encroaching on the music scene, Minh Ca Ri commented:
When an artist puts his ego - something that has been cultivated through hundreds of thousands of hours of artistic activities - into his products: the way the composer uses lyrics, the way the singer stops and plays the wind and below, the way the musician plays those notes, the way the arranger puts the oboe (a bit of the wood alcohol) into this section or decides the strings, the brass will play from this section,... It is not a coincidence that people still believe that the artistic product is the spiritual child of the artist. Because each artist puts their ego into the gene set that will shape the work throughout the pregnancy.
All of that will replace artists who leave their names in the hearts of the audience. And after the era of AI music declined, it was really difficult for creators to leave a mark on listeners' hearts - when his products were a form of music from thousands of people who had devoted their efforts to the music genre, collecting and arranging it professionally by a machine".

Music is not just for listening
When asked about how to write an aesthetic work, Minh Ca Ri frankly said: It depends on each artists choice. For me, it is a clear goal, but I do not force myself to be a measure for others".
However, the musician believes that once brought to light, artists are forced to be aware of their influence:
However, when becoming a famous artist, I was forced to accept that my music now had a great influence on a wide range of audiences and diverse ages. The musician must be more strict when placing a pen to write each sentence, each word for the children to mentally control their musical ego before entering the studio. Musicians are forced to know those recordings, lyrics, rap lyrics, or even what they say - now not simply to satisfy their musical ego or a small community.
If that basic thing cannot be met, it must be accepted that relevant ministries, departments and branches are forced to take action to reorient and rectify what affects the community and society".
