Box Office Vietnam data as of the afternoon of February 25, the movie "Báu vật trời cho" (God-given treasure) grossed about 3.8 billion VND per day, with more than 49,000 tickets sold from about 1,700 screenings. Meanwhile, "Nhà ba tôi một phòng" (My father's house, one room) reached about 2.8 billion VND per day, selling more than 36,000 tickets from nearly 1,800 screenings.
Accumulated to date, "Bau vat troi cho" reached about 64.1 billion VND, while "Nha ba toi mot phong" has reached about 93 billion VND. On the box office chart, "Bau vat troi cho" is currently in the top 2, after "Tho oi!!" - the film that is leading in revenue at the beginning of the film season.
In terms of the possibility of reaching the 100 billion VND mark, "My Father's House, One Room" is holding a clear advantage. With a revenue of 93 billion VND, the film is only short of more than 7 billion VND to join the hundred-billion VND film group. If it continues to maintain a revenue level of about 1.5-2 billion VND/day, the work can completely surpass this mark in just a few days.
This scenario is considered feasible, because the film still maintains a high number of screenings, stable ticket sales and has not been under great pressure from new Vietnamese films released in theaters. In fact, many family-emotional films in the Vietnamese market often have a long box office life, slow but sustainable growth thanks to word-of-mouth effects. If the current momentum is maintained, the milestone of hundreds of billions for "My Three Families One Room" is almost only a matter of time.
Meanwhile, the journey of "God-given Treasure" is considered more difficult but not yet out of opportunity. With revenue of over 64.1 billion VND, the film still needs nearly 36 billion VND more to reach the 100 billion VND mark. This figure is equivalent to many days of maintaining high revenue or needing a clear breakthrough at the weekend.
However, the positive sign is that the revenue on February 25 of "God-given Treasure" surpassed its direct competitor, and the number of tickets sold was also higher. Reaching the top 2 box office shows that the film still maintains a certain attraction to audiences after the Tet peak period. In particular, this project unexpectedly received many compliments and is being rumored by audiences to watch after Tet.
In fact, many Vietnamese films have accelerated in the final stage thanks to media effects or positive feedback from viewers. Remember in the 2025 Tet season, "Billion Dollar Kiss" once transformed and grossed more than 200 billion VND thanks to word-of-mouth effects from audiences. If "Heaven's Treasure" continues to hold a high position in the box office rankings and takes advantage of weekends well, revenue can completely approach the hundred-billion mark, although the probability is lower than "My Daughter's House, One Room".
Overall, the hundred-billion race is currently leaning towards "My Father's House, One Room" as the film is very close to the finish line and maintains a stable ticket sales momentum. "Heaven's Gifted Treasure" still has opportunities, but needs more time to stay in theaters along with strong growth to realize the goal. If both surpass the 100 billion mark, this will continue to be a positive signal for the Vietnamese film market in early 2026 when there are up to 3 Tet film projects reaching the hundred-billion VND mark.
