On August 30th, Urban Railway Company No. 1 Co., Ltd. announced plans to increase trips, extend operating hours and exempt tickets for Metro Line No. 1 on the occasion of the 81st National Day September 2nd.
Accordingly, on September 2nd, Metro Line 1 will operate 264 train trips, service hours from 5am to 11pm to meet the increasing travel demand of people.
Notably, to serve people going to watch fireworks, from 9 pm to 10:30 pm, the interval between trains is reduced to only 5 minutes/trip. This frequency increase aims to improve transport capacity and limit the situation where passengers have to wait for a long time at crowded times.

Third, passengers can receive free paper tickets containing QR codes at automatic kiosks and then use this code to scan through the gate.
According to Urban Railway Company Limited No. 1, the function "QR HCMC METRO" on the HCMC Metro HURC application will start appearing from September 2, 2026 and will only be effective on the same day.
