Lao Dong reporter won first national prize at the Sony World Photography Awards

    The Sony World Photography Awards (based in Manchester Square, London, UK) has just announced the winners of the 2025 National & Regional Awards, which celebrate the diversity of visual storytelling from around the world.

    Over 419,000 images were submitted to the Sony World Photography Awards 2025 this year, with 56 countries entering this year’s National and Regional Awards. The National and Regional Award winners were selected from an Open competition, which celebrates the best single images taken over the past year.

    All winners of this Award will receive Sony digital imaging equipment and will be included in the exhibition (opening at Somerset House, London, UK) from 17.4 - 5.5.2025 and the Sony World Photography Awards photobook.

    Viet Van, a reporter for Lao Dong Newspaper, won the national first prize (Vietnam) with the photo "Let's Play Fun" taken in Moc Chau (Son La) in 2024. This is a photo contest in the Daily Life category.
