The Grammy Awards continue to become a topic of debate in the K-pop fan community, as many opinions believe that idols have not received worthy recognition from this prestigious music playground.
Amidst those discussions, RM (BTS) had frank shares in an interview with GQ before the group's comeback.

When asked if Grammy is still the biggest goal, RM (BTS) admitted that the group may continue to submit albums to compete, but does not want to put too much emphasis on winning or losing.
“We will try. But if it doesn't work, it's okay,” he said, emphasizing that the desire for a cup is no longer a top priority.
For BTS, Grammy was once a goal for all 7 members to aim for and add motivation to move forward. However, at the present time, the most important thing is to reunite, release their most mature and ambitious album, as well as meet fans around the world again.
RM's calm sharing quickly received agreement from the online community. Many people believe that BTS's success and value should not only be measured by awards, but lie in music, love between members and a strong bond with fans.
BTS is the first and only Kpop group to date to receive a Grammy nomination, with a total of 5 nominations in 3 consecutive years (2021-2023) in categories such as Best Pop Duo/Group Performance ("Dynamite", "Butter", "My Universe") and Best Music Video ("Yet to come"). Although not yet winning, the group has affirmed its international position.
