RM (BTS) reveals how to split profits among group members

Leader RM of BTS revealed that all 7 members in the group share profits equally, there is no difference between members.

Recently, RM and Suga of BTS group appeared as guests on Epik High's YouTube talk show.

During the conversation, RM asked Epik High: "I'm curious why you guys decided to share profits equally like this?". In response, Tukutz (Epik High) asked RM back: "Don't you guys also share equally?

Hearing that, RM confirmed: "We also share everything fairly.

After that, Tablo (Epik High) joked: "I also want to share profits with BTS, that's one thing on my wish list". He also humorously suggested: "While you guys are on tour, could you join Epik High, and I go to BTS for a month?".

RM excitedly replied: "Sounds good. How could I have the opportunity to become a member of Epik High?". Epik High members also expressed great interest in this idea.

Tablo added cautiously: "Is that okay? BTS will suffer, and we will benefit". Tukutz continued to joke: "If you go to Epik High, we won't share profits evenly anymore".

RM still maintained a cheerful atmosphere when answering: "It's okay, I don't need money. I just need to memorize your rap lyrics.

Epik High members heard RM say that and teased back: "You must have earned a lot of money, right? You are really confident".

The video of RM participating in Epik High's talk show is spreading on social networks. Many viewers were quite surprised to learn that all 7 BTS members shared profits equally in group activities, because they believe that the members have different levels of popularity, so the shares may also be different.

However, BTS fans believe that it is natural for 7 members to share profits equally, this is the operating method of most Kpop groups.

Besides, fans also predict that each BTS member will receive their own profits from their solo activities.

HYBE has never revealed the profits that BTS members receive from group activities. But in addition to the money earned from activities related to BTS, the 7 members also own shares of HYBE Group.

HYBE Chairman Bang Si Hyuk awarded each BTS member 68,385 shares (totaling 478,695 shares for the group) before HYBE publicly listed them in 2020. At that time, these shares of the BTS members were worth about 64.6 billion won, equivalent to 9.2 billion won per person.

In 2021, members Jin, J-Hope and RM sold part of their shares, earning 4.8 billion won, 1.8 billion won and 3.2 billion won respectively.

Currently, it is unclear how many HYBE shares BTS members still own, as they have been exempted from the obligation to disclose information about stock fluctuations since September 2023.

If BTS members still keep the same number of shares, the estimated value per person until March 27 is as follows: V, Suga, Jimin, Jungkook each about 21 billion won; J-Hope holds about 19.2 billion won; RM about 17.8 billion won and Jin owns about 16 billion won.
