Accordingly, the Adora Mediterrane ship carrying about 2,000 European passengers docked at the port on February 16. On the 1st day of Tet, 2 ships docked together, including: Seabourn Encore ship, with 600 European passengers and Pianao Land ship, with about 2,000 Hong Kong (China) passengers.
Le Jacques Cartier ship carrying 300 European passengers docked on the 3rd day of Tet; Adora Mediterrane ship returned on the 4th day of Tet, with about 2,000 European passengers, while on the 8th day of Tet, Ha Long Bay welcomed the Silver Nova ship.
It is expected that on the morning of the 1st day of Tet, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ninh province will take the lead in organizing a ceremony to welcome the first international visitors to Ha Long International Passenger Port in the new year Binh Ngo. This is a traditional activity to show hospitality and affirm Ha Long's position on the world cruise tourism map.
According to representatives of Ha Long International Passenger Port - the largest private seaport in the country today, as of the beginning of 2026, the number of ships registered to dock and anchor at the port in 2026 has reached 88 ships.
The total number of passengers on 88 ships is about 150,000 passengers, coming from key markets such as the US, Germany, UK, Canada, China and many European countries. That does not include the number of crew members, including ships up to more than 1,200 crew members.
In 2025, there were about 70 cruise ships, with nearly 90,000 international tourist arrivals from many markets in Europe, America, Australia, Northeast Asia... docking at Ha Long International Passenger Port, an increase of about 30% compared to 2024.
