This is one of the practical activities towards the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution (August 19, 1945 - August 19, 2025) and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).
The exhibition displays more than 300 images, documents, and artifacts divided into 3 topics that vividly recreate the journey of protecting independence, maintaining sovereignty, and building the Fatherland.

Part 1: Autumn of Independence - A review of the national historical process from the time of the French invasion to before the August 1945 Revolution; the process of preparing forces, opportunities and strategic decisions of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh; the general mobilization and the moment of reading the Declaration of Independence at Ba Dinh Square.

Part 2: Keeping the Oath - Reflecting the long-term struggle against French colonialism and American imperialism, fighting to protect borders, fulfilling international obligations, maintaining independence, sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.

Part 3: Glory of Vietnam - Introduce great achievements in building socialism in the fields of politics, economics, culture, and society; the core role of the Vietnam People's Army in defending the Fatherland and participating in maintaining United Nations peacekeeping.

Many valuable documents were first published, such as the Declaration of Independence dated September 2, 1945; restoration of the "Emperor's mark" - a symbol of the royal court's Supper Power; collection of money "Uncle Ho" - a means of payment of the Government of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam; restoration of the A Pa Chai markers - a symbol of border sovereignty.

Colonel Le Vu Huy - Director of the Vietnam Military History Museum - emphasized: "The exhibition contributes to educating the tradition of patriotism, the spirit of the August Revolution and National Day on September 2, while arousing the will to be self-reliant, self-reliant, turning past achievements into motivation to build a rich, civilized, happy country, standing shoulder to shoulder with the world powers".
The exhibition will open to the public from August 12, 2025, at the Vietnam Military History Museum.
