On September 3, information from the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thanh Hoa province said that the National Day holiday of September 2 this year lasts from August 29 to September 2, the whole province is estimated to welcome about 485,000 visitors, 3.6 times more than the holiday in 2025.
Total revenue from tourism is estimated at about 873 billion VND, 3.5 times higher than the same period last year.
Among the destinations, Sam Son beach area welcomed the largest number of visitors, with about 350,000 visitors. Hai Tien marine eco-tourism area welcomed about 76,000 visitors, Hai Hoa about 26,000 visitors.
On this occasion, many cultural, entertainment and tourism activities take place at sea tourist areas such as "Touching the rhythm of life in fishing villages", cultural space - pedestrian street - night market, music programs by the sea, tourist seafood market and Sam Son kite festival.
In the mountainous area, Pu Luong Community Ecological Tourist Area welcomes about 61,000 visitors. According to the Thanh Hoa Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, room occupancy rate here reaches 100% during the holidays.
Cultural and historical tourist destinations also recorded a significant number of visitors such as: Lam Kinh historical relic area; Cam Luong fish stream; Ho Citadel cultural heritage; Ben En National Park...
One of the activities attracting a large number of people and tourists during the holiday is the art program, fireworks display with the theme "Thanh Hoa harmonizes with the country", held at Lam Son Square and Sam Son Sea Square to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2nd.
According to Thanh Hoa tourism industry, during the holidays, many localities, zones and tourist attractions have organized more cultural, artistic, entertainment and recreational activities and put some new tourism products into testing to serve the needs of tourists.
