On January 29, Ho Chi Minh City Police informed that they had issued a decision to administratively sanction KTH Event Organization Co., Ltd. and issued a warning about the situation of profiteering through beauty and talent contests.
Accordingly, KTH Event Organization Co., Ltd. was fined 25 million VND for the act of organizing contests and festivals of performing arts not in accordance with the content in the approved document. Through actual inspection of the "Seek Vietnamese Music Star 2025" contest organized by this unit, functional agencies determined that there were many deviations compared to the licensing dossier, and at the same time forced the unit to recall all violating promotional publications.

Regarding this case, the Internal Political Security Department (Ho Chi Minh City Police) in coordination with functional agencies warned about the situation that some units organizing events and honoring businessmen are showing signs of taking advantage of the State's name for profit. These units often arbitrarily use the names and logos of state agencies or reputable press agencies on advertising publications without permission to create "virtual prestige".
This behavior makes the public mistakenly believe that the program is national in scale or sponsored by the State, thereby attracting contestants and businesses to participate with high fees, calling for funding against regulations. This not only causes economic damage but also adversely affects the management order in the cultural field.
Faced with the above situation, Ho Chi Minh City Police recommends that people and businesses should be cautious and proactively check the legality and approval documents of competent authorities before participating or sponsoring events. The Police Agency affirms that it will strictly handle all acts of illegal use of the name, name, and logo of state agencies in accordance with the law.
