Tre Publishing House issued a press release announcing that Deputy Director and Editor-in-Chief - Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam passed away at the age of 45.

According to an announcement from Tre Publishing House, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam passed away at 1:30 a.m. on December 30 due to serious illness.

Mr. Nguyen Minh Nhut - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City - sent his condolences: "Goodbye to a talented, ill-fated younger brother. Goodbye, Nguyen Thanh Nam. You left this world this morning. Thus, a good person has left this world, Tre Publishing House has lost a pillar. The Vietnamese book and copyright community has lost a skilled person. It is truly a great pity. Well, I'll go out first."

The funeral took place at his private home in Tan Trach commune, Can Duoc district, Long An province. The funeral took place from 1:00 p.m. on December 30, 2024 to 1:00 p.m. on January 1, 2025, after which his family took him to his hometown for burial.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nam, born in 1979, holds the position of Deputy Director and Editor-in-Chief of Tre Publishing House.

He has accompanied the unit for many years, overcoming difficult times, being a pioneer and active factor in the digital transformation of the book industry and the movement against pirated and junk books.
