Recently, many sources shared that director, Meritorious Artist Do Thanh Hai has submitted a resignation letter at VTV. This information surprised many people.
Sharing with Lao Dong reporters on the evening of September 10, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam - General Director of Vietnam Television - said: "I am on a business trip abroad, we have not received this information. Up to now, there is no basis to say that Do Thanh Hai has left VTV".
Director Do Thanh Hai was born in 1973, graduated valedictorian from university, majoring in Film Directory in 1996, graduated with a Master of Film and Television Arts in 2010, studied and trained professionally in television at DW - Deutsche Welle Academy, Federal Republic of Germany in 2008.
On September 25, 2020, the Prime Minister signed a decision appointing director Do Thanh Hai as Deputy General Director of Vietnam Television. In 2025, he was reappointed.
Before being appointed as Deputy General Director of VTV, he held the position of Director of the Television Film Production Center (VFC), Vietnam Television.

In 2026, director Do Thanh Hai successfully defended his doctoral thesis on the topic of Storytelling in TV series.
