The Cedar Falls Snoop in 1967 in Cu Chi
geography: Sun in the dark is compared to being realistically recreated as documentary footage of the battle imbued with the vitality of the Cu Chi festival in the 1967,
The film is inspired by real events, set after the Cedar Falls swept-out battle (Vietnamese name: Earth Peel Campaign) from January 8 to 26, 1967 during the Vietnam War by the US military.
The historic Cedar Falls offensive is described as the second large-scale campaign in the US strategic counter-offensive in the 196667 dry season into the "Iron Triangle" area of Ben Soc - Cu Chi - Ben Cat.
According to data recorded from the War Relics Museum, the US set a task of destroying the "Iron Triangle" area, destroying the main force and the brainchild of the Saigon - Gia Dinh Military Region stationed here.
The US mobilized a force of 30,000 soldiers to fight directly, including many units such as: Infantry Division No. 1, Brigade 3, Infantry Division No. 4... to the 173rd Brigade, Armored Regiment No. 11... equipped with modern weapons.
archival documents state that the US used more than 400 tanks, armored vehicles, 800 warships on the river, more than 100 artillery pieces of various types and many aircraft, including B-52... for the Cedar Falls swept. In addition, the US used chemical engineering technical units to destroy houses, public works, and land in Cu Chi...

The US believes: "If the geopolitical problem is solved, the guerrilla war will be solved".
Documents from the Museum of War War, in addition to the B-52, the task of "peeling the ground", the US military strengthened the army of 200 bulldozers, many heavy tanks, 200 Becgie dogs to find the tunnel. The United States organized teams specializing in tunneling called "tunnel mouse" from 8-10 people selected in the most reckless voluntary soldiers.
According to historical statistics, the US almost leveled the "irred four corners" of the land during the Cedar falls in 1967, In particular, according to US calculations, there were places that were "destroyed" by 27 bombs per square meter of land. The US is trying every way to "expos the land" and destroy the geological system in Cu Chi.
The war is a color of survival
geography: The Sun in the Dark is set after the Cedar Falls earthquake, when the entire Cu Chi region was completely devastated by... the moon. All villages and hamlets were burned down, almost nothing. The entire surface of the land is continuously blasted with bomb holes.
However, underground, there was still a fighting atmosphere, holding the pillars of the tourist team commanded by Bay Theo (Thai Hoa) at Binh An Dong base.

Bay Theo's team was assigned to support Hai Thung (Hoang Minh Triet) to "protect military equipment and medicine for the field hospital".
But in fact, their task is much heavier - to protect safe areas for Hai Thung's strategic intelligence team to transmit important confidential documents via radio waves.
The radio communications were detected and located by the US military. From here, 21 foreign players of the Bay Theo team have to face increasingly fierce dia hinh sweeps.
Director Bui Thac Chuyen said: When watching war films, many of us will have the mindset of waiting for fierce, dramatic battles between the two sides of the army. But this is not a story that took place in Cu Chi in 1967,
The war in Cu Chi is a people's war, a guerrilla war. The group of Seven Duong Tuong comes from the people, they are not properly trained and formed in strategy and combat like the army. They are also not equipped with weapons, and have to pick up the weapons that the enemy used to recycle.
This war is completely unbalanced, with a small group of "land-forward" youth volunteers on one side and the most powerful military force in the world on the other side, equipped with modern weapons.
geography: Sun in the dark is a war film with survival colors. The small tourists are trying to survive the destructive power of bombs, bulldozers, and tanks, while trying to fight in unprecedented ways.
There can be no war on the sugar leaf, or a war of gun and ammunition. The small tourists of Cu Chi had to try to survive and cope with a kind of sweeping disaster.
The goal of the United States in this war is to level, Binh Dinh, to smash the will to fight of the people of Cu Chi, to seek and erase guerrilla teams from the tunnel, destroy the tunnel ... However, that goal was broken by the will, the durable vitality of Cu Chi guerrilla. No matter how devastating the US, the people, the guerrilla of Cu Chi are still there, still persistent, still fighting ” - director Bui Thac Chuyen said.
