On August 24, the parade and parade for the 80th Anniversary of National Day on September 2 took place at Ba Dinh Square.
At around 2:00 p.m., Hanoi began to experience rain. Despite the rain, people gathered at the Hung Vuong - Nguyen Thai Hoc intersection area and were still very excited to stand in the rain, patiently waiting to watch the second training session.
Ms. Nguyen Minh Ngoc (23 years old, Hanoi) said: "Because I waited here until evening, I prepared a raincoat to prevent rain. Whether it's raining or sunny, I'm determined to stay here and wait for the moment to watch the parade."

Ms. Tran Thi Hong (Long Bien, Hanoi) and her family waited for the Hung Vuong - Nguyen Thai Hoc intersection from 6am.
She shared that the weather in Hanoi during the second training session was harsher, with hot sunshine in the morning and scattered showers in the afternoon.
However, her family wanted to see the parade with their own eyes, so they tried to overcome the unfavorable weather.
From 6am, many people flocked to Ba Dinh Square and neighboring streets to choose a beautiful location to watch the gathering program.
Many families prepare food, drinks, red flags with yellow stars to join in the bustling atmosphere celebrating the 80th anniversary of National Day on September 2. They are willing to wait half a day even though they have to wear the sun and rain.

The second training session will have about 40,000 participants, including armed forces (military, police), mass movement parades, standing groups and military equipment, and special vehicles.
In addition, there were military groups from countries such as Russia, Laos, Cambodia, etc. attending the training session.
