Exhibition of Tran Dynasty cultural heritage in Hai Duong

On September 18, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Duong coordinated with the Eastern Antiquities Association to organize the exhibition "Cultural heritage of the Tran Dynasty in Hai Duong".

The thematic exhibition "Cultural heritage of the Tran Dynasty in Hai Duong" was held at Kiep Bac Temple (Chi Linh City) from September 18 to 22. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Duong province emphasized that Hai Duong is a land with a long history and culture, where many great cultural figures converge, nurture and shine, whose influence has spread throughout the history of Vietnam. Over time, Hai Duong has preserved and maintained many unique tangible and intangible cultural heritages with 3,199 historical and cultural relics, more than 800 traditional festivals, hundreds of traditional occupations...

In particular, with 129 relics and 26 archaeological sites discovered and excavated related to the Tran Dynasty - Tran Dynasty cultural heritage in Hai Duong has become an important part of the cultural identity of the ancient Dong and Hai Duong today. The values ​​of this cultural heritage have been and are being respected, preserved and effectively promoted by generations of Hai Duong people in contemporary life.

At the 2024 Con Son - Kiep Bac Autumn Festival, the exhibition "Cultural Heritage of the Tran Dynasty on Hai Duong Land" is one of the activities to promote the propaganda and promotion of the outstanding global cultural heritage values ​​of the relic site during the process of Hai Duong province coordinating with Quang Ninh province and Bac Giang province to submit to UNESCO for recognition of the Complex of Monuments and Landscapes of Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son, Kiep Bac as a World Heritage Site.

The exhibition includes two main themes: Hai Duong in the Yen Tu - Vinh Nghiem - Con Son Monuments and Landscape Complex, Kiep Bac submitted to UNESCO for recognition as a World Heritage Site and Typical Tran Dynasty Antiquities and Archaeological Discoveries of the 13th-14th Centuries.

Nearly 200 units of documents, images, and artifacts were researched, selected, scientifically arranged, and displayed to introduce an overview of historical and cultural relics, archaeological discovery and excavation sites, and typical artifacts and artifacts of the Tran Dynasty in Hai Duong. Thereby, helping people and visitors better understand the land and people of Hai Duong, the typical cultural heritages of the Tran Dynasty that still exist, affirming the important position of the ancient land of Xu Dong - Hai Duong today in the process of national history...
