Within the framework of the 11th Swallowtail Boat Racing Festival, on the evening of January 2nd, about 10,000 people, officials and students in Muong Lay ward, Dien Bien province participated together in the event "Dance of Solidarity by the Da Giang River".
This is a large-scale activity aimed at establishing a Vietnam Record for the "Community-Connecting Co-Performance Event on the Da Giang River with the largest number of participants in Vietnam".
The event was organized by Muong Lay ward right in the early days of the new year 2026, creating a unique cultural highlight next to the majestic Da River.



The organization space stretches over a route of more than 6.5 km, starting from the Cau Co Khi - Nam Can area, along provincial road 142, passing through Ban Mo field, connecting Ban Mo with Ban O, through areas North 1, North 2 and circling to Cau Co Khi - Nam Can.
Along the Da River road, activities are arranged appropriately, ensuring continuity, safety and urban aesthetics.
The dance content is built on the basis of inheriting and promoting traditional cultural values, expressing the spirit of attachment and harmony between ethnic groups living in Muong Lay ward in particular and the Northwest region in general.


In addition to the main performance, the Organizing Committee also arranged impressive highlights at the paragliding landing pad (Ban Mo) with a swing combined with traditional fire burning on a scale of 300 people. This activity aims to recreate unique community cultural activities, creating a joyful atmosphere for people and tourists.
Leaders of Muong Lay Ward People's Committee said that the organization of large-scale cultural events such as "Dance of Solidarity" is expected to contribute to honoring the art of dance and community dance of ethnic groups. At the same time, promoting the image of Muong Lay land and people to people across the country and international friends.



Through this Vietnam Record-breaking event, the locality aims to create a strong "boost", making tourism a key economic sector.
Muong Lay ward was established on the basis of merging Song Da ward, Na Lay ward, Lay Nua commune and Sa Tong commune (old). After arrangement, the ward has a natural area of over 222 km2; population size of over 18,200 people.
