According to News1 media outlet reported on April 17, Korean time, actor Kim Soo Hyun was ordered to pay the court fees and court fees for his lawsuit to claim compensation for damages to the family of the late actor Kim Sae Ron, as well as to YouTube channel HOVERLAB. If Kim Soo Hyun's side does not pay the fee on time, his lawsuit may be dismissed.
Previously, Kim Soo Hyun's side announced that he would file a lawsuit to claim 12 billion won (about $8.5 million) in damages against the two parties mentioned above for disclosing details about his private life. However, the actual amount of money filed in the lawsuit was 11 billion won.
In response, the 14th Civil Court under the Seoul Central District Court ordered Kim Soo Hyun to rectify the damages, and ordered the plaintiff to pay the litigation and court service fees based on 12 billion won, not 11 billion won.
In Kim Soo Hyun's case alone, litigation fees and court services are estimated at about 38 million won (about $27,000) for a lawsuit worth 12 billion won.
According to News1, Kim Soo Hyun has not yet paid the mandatory court fees. In fact, the plaintiff requested an extension of the fee payment deadline on April 16 KST, seemingly not wanting to make the necessary payment to conduct the lawsuit.
When contacted to make a statement, Kim Soo Hyun's management company Gold Medalist stated, "We are currently checking this issue."
