With the theme "Heritage Gathering - Creating the Future", the festival is held on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam joining UNESCO, continuing the event held for the first time in 2025.
50 countries and international organizations and businesses will participate in cultural exchange and introduction activities in Hanoi. The festival has 45 cultural spaces, 35 culinary booths, a film screening program with the participation of 18 countries, a fashion space introducing traditional costumes of 19 countries and 20 international art troupes.
The activities are organized in the direction of strengthening exchanges between cultures, while expanding connections in the fields of art, tourism and creative industry. This is also an opportunity for countries to introduce their unique cultural values to the public in Hanoi.
The new point of this year's festival is the space "Shining creativity from heritage - International Games Festival". Here, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with Vietnamese businesses to introduce, publish and operate games inspired by Vietnamese history and culture.
This space also has cosplay activities, Audition dances and LED screen systems, creating more forms of heritage access through technology and contemporary cultural products.
According to Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong, Hanoi has a history of thousands of years and many layers of cultural sediment. The organization of the festival at Thang Long Imperial Citadel contributes to creating space for cultures to meet, dialogue and enhance mutual understanding.
The festival also aims to promote the image of Hanoi as a UNESCO Creative City, while contributing to introducing Vietnam's heritage values and creative capacity to international friends.
With a series of activities spanning from culture, art, cuisine to cinema, fashion and games inspired by heritage, the event taking place at Thang Long Imperial Citadel from October 1-4 is expected to create more space for international cultural exchange right in Hanoi.
