The seminar with the theme "Memories of 80 years - Historical Autumn" was jointly organized by Vietnam News Agency with the Hanoi People's Committee, Sports and Culture Newspaper, Vietnam News Agency in Hanoi, Hanoi City Center for Communications, Data and Digital Technology.
The event was also held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. Through the seminar, historical memories are recreated, cultural values are aroused and especially, the flame of love for Hanoi will give more strength to each citizen of the capital, each citizen of Vietnam to increase a sense of responsibility in building and developing the capital Hanoi in particular and Vietnam in general.
Deputy General Director of VNA - Journalist Nguyen Thi Su said that the seminar "Memories of 80 Years - Historical Autumn" was held to honor the historical role and cultural identity of the capital Hanoi, as well as create a forum for exchange, academic exchange, inspiring the pride and love of Hanoi to the public.
The seminar was divided into 3 parts: Part 1: Hanoi - Heart of the Revolution; Part 2: Capital - Sacred soul of national culture; Part 3: Hanoi Youth - Heritage and Aspiration to Rise Up.
In particular, the sharing from researchers, experts and dedicated managers of the capital helps the public have a deeper understanding of the history, culture, bravery and identity of the capital Hanoi, conveying more strength and aspiration to build and develop the capital richly beautiful, civilized, modern - a creative, prosperous and happy city, strongly rising up with the whole country in the new era.
Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Society, said that the respect and promotion of Hanoi in the country's development process needs to be viewed from both historical and cultural perspectives.
In fact, considered a cultural center of the whole country, associated with the symbol of luxury and elegance in customs and lifestyle, Hanoi is not only a gathering place but also a place of spread, playing a role in regulating the common value system of the whole nation.
According to Dr. Nguyen Van Phong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, the Hanoi Party Committee is the first Party Committee established in the country after the birth of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Hanoi is also the birthplace of many revolutionary organizations since the beginning of the 20th century.
Therefore, the city has enough tradition, position and responsibility to take on a pioneering role in the August Revolution. Mr. Nguyen Van Phong commented: The revolution in Hanoi won a complete victory, without blood shed. At that time, the city's Party Committee only had about 50 Party members, most of whom were in their 20s and 30s.
However, those faces have proactively seized the opportunity, determinedly launched the entire people to stand up, proving their revolutionary mettle, as well as their ability to seize the opportunities that history brought".
The glorious victory of the August Revolution was recreated in the film "Sao hang Tam" in which People's Artist Thanh Tu played the main role - Ms. Net.
At the seminar, People's Artist Thanh Tu emotionally shared: "I am very happy to transform into the film August Star - a work that can help future generations visualize the August Revolution from the perspective of images, not just through talent. When a work goes down in history and touches the hearts of the audience, it is always the greatest happiness of an artist".
