The program was directed by the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, and organized and implemented by the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi City.
The program was attended by Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
Also attending were: Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission; Ms. Bui Thi Minh Hoai, Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee, Head of the Hanoi City National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Le Minh Tri, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court; Mr. Vu Hong Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly.
The program also had the participation of members of the Party Central Committee, alternate members of the Party Central Committee and leaders of departments, ministries, branches and the Central Committee.
The program was artistically directed by People's Artist Tan Minh, musician Duong Cam took on the role of Music Director, conductor Dong Quang Vinh commanded the orchestra, Master Tuyet Minh wrote the script and general director.

With 3 chapters and 6 bars staged grandly, the program takes the audience through the 80 years of Hanoi's history. since the success of the August Revolution.
The historical slides are recreated as both majestic and romantic, depicting the image of Hanoi people in the rain of bombs and bullets who are still steadfast, determined to regain independence and freedom for the nation and for the land of Thang Long, a thousand years of civilization.
The program was attended by 1,000 artists and actors from many theaters and art troupes of the city and central art institutions in Hanoi.

The beloved faces of artists such as People's Artist Hoang Anh Tu, People's Artist Tan Minh, artist Xuan Hinh, Meritorious Artist Dang Duong, singers Hoang Hai, Van Mai Huong, Lam Bao Ngoc, Dong Hung, Khanh Linh, Trong Hung, Oplus group... brought the audience special performances.
