Domestic tourism demand increases sharply before Tet 2026. According to Traveloka's internal data, searches for Hanoi increased 1.8 times compared to December, showing that the Capital is still the top choice of tourists thanks to vibrant cultural activities, traditional festivals and bustling Tet atmosphere. Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Da Lat and Phu Quoc recorded more than double the search volume compared to the previous month, reflecting the sustainable attraction of destinations that harmoniously combine culture, nature and entertainment.
Notably, among domestic destinations, Nha Trang stands out with a search increase of more than three times compared to the previous month. This rapid growth shows the increasingly clear trend of Vietnamese tourists in choosing coastal resorts, aiming for relaxation and health care, as a gentle way to start the new year after the busy year-end period.
International tourism demand in neighboring countries is also increasing significantly. Familiar cities such as Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur recorded double the search volume compared to December. Meanwhile, Seoul and Singapore increased nearly three times, showing that Vietnamese tourists still prioritize destinations with vibrant urban areas, diverse cuisine and many activities suitable for families, with short and convenient flight times.
