Ninh Binh Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the Project on preserving and developing craft villages and traditional craft villages associated with tourism development in Ninh Binh province in the period 2026 - 2030, with a vision to 2045.
According to the decision, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of the province is assigned to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies and units to organize the implementation of the project.
Ninh Binh province currently has 171 craft villages, of which 54 traditional craft villages are recognized; 9 traditional handicrafts are listed in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List; more than 102,500 rural industrial production facilities with nearly 200,000 workers participating.
The current tourism trend is shifting from simple sightseeing to authentic experiences, where tourists can immerse themselves in local cultural life, meet local people and directly participate in traditional activities. This is the outstanding advantage of Ninh Binh craft village tourism.
