On the 29th of Tet, in the defense area No. 3 on Le Thanh Nghi street, Hai Phong city, the moment of New Year's transition is not a reunion meal but a fireworks battlefield that is tightened in each stage of preparation.

Colonel Ta Minh Phuong, Political Commissar of the 3rd Regional Defense Command, shared about his feelings of welcoming New Year's Eve away from home: "We are armed forces performing combat readiness tasks, serving the people during Tet. Therefore, we always feel very honored and proud to be assigned this task.

For him, the most memorable moment is still the New Year's Eve moment - the moment marking the transition between the old year and the new year. "That is a historic moment. The mood of the people, of each person, is gathered at that moment. Each person has their own feelings, but they share a common hope.
When the fireworks lit up the sky, thousands of eyes looked up in joy. Behind, the soldiers quietly observed and controlled each situation.

We are very happy. Happy to have contributed a small part to the joy of the people," he said.
Therefore, the role of the defense area is particularly important in ensuring the safety of fireworks display locations in the New Year's Eve moment.
To have a few moments of sublimation in the sky is a laborious preparation process, complying with strict regulations.

The task force must be trained from the firecracker factory to the Command, and then continue to be trained at the unit to firmly grasp the safety assurance process.

From the installation and arrangement of battlefields to the reinforcement of high-altitude and low-altitude artillery systems, everything is thoroughly inspected. High-altitude artillery is connected to electricity in pieces, low-altitude artillery is firmly fixed. Control equipment is tested before official connection.

The entire implementation process is controlled by the power supply system. After the connection is completed, the system is completely locked, only opened when it is time to fire," Mr. Phuong said.

In addition, the fire prevention and fighting force is always on duty, coordinating to develop plans to handle all arising situations.
Not only the military force, firefighters also put aside personal matters on New Year's Eve.
The unit conducts fire prevention and fighting inspections at the battlefield, reminds people to keep a safe distance, arranges vehicles, and forces to be on duty with 100% of their personnel throughout the fireworks display.
Each brilliant fireworks display lasts only a few minutes, but behind it are many days of preparation, Tet away from home, and high concentration to ensure absolute safety.

When people joyfully recorded photos and bright video clips, soldiers quietly observed the battlefield, ensuring the completion of tasks so that Hai Phong city could enter the new year with complete joy.
