These days, Mr. Chang Mi Tua, Can Ty commune (Tuyen Quang province) is preparing his luggage to go to Quang Ninh province to work at a unit of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group. The new job with a stable committed income has given Mr. Tua and his family hope for a better life.
"The family has been a poor household in the locality and has been poor for many years, the whole family of 5 people depends on corn and cow fields, so for many years they have not escaped poverty. Now the state has supported finding a job as a coal mine worker, with a salary of 20 million VND/month.
With such a stable income, I can build a house in just 1 year, my children can go to school with peace of mind, and my family will escape poverty," Mr. Tua shared.
As for Ms. Ma Thi Lien and her husband, one of the poor households in Lam Binh commune (Tuyen Quang province) also found a job when participating in the online job fair organized by the Tuyen Quang Provincial Employment Service Center.
Through online job transactions, Ms. Lien and her husband have found a job at a garment company in the province with an average income of more than 8 million VND/month. For a poor household like her, this is a very stable income.
"Thanks to connections and online job consultations like this, my family lives in a remote area, making it difficult to travel, and it takes a lot of time to get to the commune or province. Having found a stable job, the couple can work with peace of mind, send money back to their children to study, repair the house, and escape poverty in no time," Ms. Lien said enthusiastically.
Implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021 - 2025, Tuyen Quang province has actively innovated consulting and job introduction. In particular, regularly organizing direct, online and online job fairs helps increase connectivity, creating jobs to remote communes where the poverty rate is still high.
According to the Department of Home Affairs of Tuyen Quang province, in the first 6 months of 2025, the whole province has created new jobs for over 29,400 workers, reaching over 70% of the annual plan. Of which, creating jobs in economic sectors in the province has 13,968 workers and 14,718 workers working in provinces and cities in the country.
Also in 2025, Tuyen Quang province will organize 15 job fairs, provide information on the labor market, diversify job fairs, connect labor supply and demand, support the creation of sustainable jobs for workers, prioritize workers from poor households, poor households, newly escaped poverty households, and workers living in poor districts.
The goal is that 100% of workers from poor households, poor households, and newly escaped poverty need support in connecting, consulting, orienting careers, providing labor market information, and supporting job search.
In 2024, implementing poverty reduction work and the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, the poverty rate of Tuyen Quang province will decrease from 14.03% to 10.19%, reaching 127.5% of the plan.
In 2025, Tuyen Quang province aims to reduce the multidimensional poverty rate by 2.81%, the poverty rate of ethnic minorities will decrease by an average of 4% or more and the poverty rate in poor communes will decrease by 4% or more.
