On the afternoon of October 16, at a press conference providing information on socio-economic issues in Ho Chi Minh City, Ms. Chau Minh Hien, Head of the Emulation and Reward Committee, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs, provided detailed information on the plan to organize the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Patriotic Emulation Congress, term 2025 - 2030.
This is an important socio-political event, aiming to summarize emulation movements and orient the City's development goals in the next 5 years.
Ms. Chau Minh Hien said that the Congress was organized by the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.
The theme throughout the Congress is identified as: "Solidarity, innovation, creativity, and competition to build a pioneering Ho Chi Minh City, entering a new era with the whole country".
The Congress will take place on October 24 at Hall A, City Cadre Academy (No. 324 Chu Van An Street, Binh Thanh Ward), with an expected attendance of about 1,000 delegates, representing all classes of people, all levels, sectors and economic sectors in the area.
According to the representative of the Department of Home Affairs, the Congress has two major goals. The first is a comprehensive assessment of the results of patriotic emulation movements in implementing the goals and tasks of economic, cultural, social, national defense and security development of the City. On that basis, the Congress will propose specific directions and tasks to promote emulation movements and improve the effectiveness of reward work in the period of 2025 - 2030.
The second goal is to commend and honor outstanding achievements, collectives and individuals who are awarded the title of Hero, National Emulation Fighter and typical and advanced examples.
This honor is to continue promoting the tradition of patriotism, dynamism, creativity, arousing and cheering for the great strength of the great national unity bloc, creating new motivation, strongly promoting internal resources to successfully carry out the tasks of socio-economic development and the 5-year plan for the period 2025 - 2030.
In addition, the Congress also strengthens propaganda work on the patriotic emulation movement, promotes the "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", thereby arousing self-awareness and creativity of the masses in all fields.
