Up to now, the whole province has arranged, arranged and put 557 facilities into use as working headquarters, career facilities, cultural and sports facilities and public works. There are still 1,056 redundant facilities being further processed.

According to the plan to exploit and handle 1,056 redundant establishments approved by the Provincial People's Committee, there are 60 establishments under the provincial authority. Among these, 26 establishments were allocated residential land through auctions; 7 establishments leased land for commercial - service auctions to select investors to implement projects; 27 establishments leased short-term for less than 5 years.

However, the progress of putting redundant facilities into actual operation is still very slow. To date, the whole province has only 2/506 facilities completed and put into operation. The remaining facilities are continuing to be handled.

According to Standing Vice Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Tuan Thanh, the arrangement, allocation, use and handling of workplaces, redundant houses and land after arrangement is an important task to practice thrift, combat wastefulness, and promote the effectiveness of public asset resources to serve socio-economic development.

The principle of handling is to prioritize arranging redundant facilities for state agencies, organizations, and units that need to use them as working headquarters, career facilities; converting functions into medical, educational, and other public purpose facilities in the locality.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh requested the heads of departments, branches, and localities to be directly responsible for the progress and effectiveness of handling. The implementation process must be synchronized from reviewing, classifying, developing plans to organizing handling and post-inspection.

Regarding progress, localities must complete the valuation, auction and liquidation of assets on land and land recovery in October 2026. In November 2026, it is necessary to complete planning, build criteria, determine starting prices and complete bidding documents and project auctions.

For the group of public assets for 5-year lease, localities must develop auction plans for lease. Before December 31, 2026, 100% of dossiers and detailed handling plans must be completed.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Thanh reminded the Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and wards to proactively and drastically direct the handling of redundant houses and land within their management scope and complete the handling in 2026.

The results of handling redundant houses and land are also identified as one of the criteria for evaluating the results of task performance (KPI) for heads of communes and wards.
