Conversion plans of Ba Don ward
Ba Don Ward, Quang Tri province currently has more than 20 public housing and land facilities being reviewed to develop appropriate handling plans.
According to Ba Don Ward People's Committee, the development of the plan is based on the assessment of the current status of management, use, legal documents, related planning and actual needs of agencies and units. The goal is to put public assets into exploitation and use, limiting the situation of abandonment or improper use.
Recently, Ba Don Ward People's Committee has submitted a report proposing a plan to arrange and handle houses and land facilities in the area.
Some old headquarters such as the Ba Don Town Civil Judgment Enforcement Sub-Department, the Ba Don Town People's Procuracy, the Ba Don Town Labor Federation and the Urban Order Team are oriented to be converted or adjusted to commercial and service land for lease, and assigned to the Ba Don Ward Construction Investment Project Management Board for management and handling.
For the working headquarters of the Ba Don Ward Construction Investment Project Management Board with a land area of 19,880m2, the proposed plan is to partially adjust from educational land to commercial and service land for lease.
A facility of the People's Court of Region 3 - Quang Tri on Lam Uy street is proposed to allocate a part of the area to be managed and used by Ba Don Kindergarten; the rest is converted into traffic land and public parking lots.
Another facility of the People's Court of Area 3 with an area of 3,075m2 is proposed to be transferred to the Ba Don Ward Health Station for management and use.
Finding investors
Not only in Ba Don, the handling of redundant houses and land is also being carried out in many other areas of the province.
Mr. Ho Cong Minh - Deputy Director of Quang Tri Provincial Land Fund Development Center - said that the unit has just issued a document to find investors interested in 16 redundant houses and land after arrangement in Dong Ha and Nam Dong Ha wards.
These 16 houses and land facilities have a total area of more than 34,912m2, and the remaining total value of assets is more than 696 billion VND.
One of the notable locations is the headquarters of the State Bank of Vietnam branch in region 8 at 47 Hung Vuong, with an area of 3,170m2, with a remaining value of nearly 66 billion VND.
The long-term handling plan for this facility is identified as converting to commercial and service land.
Faced with the surplus volume of houses and land that need to be handled, Mr. Hoang Nam - Vice Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee - requested departments, branches and local authorities to focus on removing obstacles and accelerating the progress of arranging and exploiting the surplus public assets fund.
Heads of departments, agencies, branches, provincial-level units and Chairmen of People's Committees of communes and wards are requested to continue to accelerate the arrangement, handling and exploitation of redundant houses and land according to the guiding documents of the Provincial People's Committee and the requirements of the Ministry of Finance.
