On April 30, the Traffic Police Department (CSGT) of Dak Lak Provincial Police said that on National Highway 26, passing through Krong Pac commune (former Phuoc An town area), a series of accidents occurred, causing 12 cars to be damaged.
According to functional forces, on the same morning, 3 consecutive collisions occurred on National Highway 26. The incidents damaged 12 cars, fortunately no casualties were recorded.
Records at the scene show that immediately after the incident occurred, traffic police forces quickly arrived to divert and regulate traffic, and at the same time urgently cleared the scene and restored traffic on the route.
Previously, at about 9 am on April 27 (during the Hung Kings Commemoration Day holiday - March 10), also on National Highway 26, at Km123+450 (Krong Pac commune), a chain collision occurred between 4 cars traveling in the same direction.
As a result, the accident did not cause any casualties but caused 4 cars to be damaged to varying degrees. The initial cause was determined to be due to heavy traffic, narrow road sections, cars moving close to each other; in which the driver did not maintain a safe distance, leading to a chain collision.
During this holiday, the density of vehicles increased sharply on routes such as National Highway 14, National Highway 26, National Highway 29 and gateways to Buon Ma Thuot, Tuy Hoa, posing a risk of congestion and traffic accidents.
Functional forces recommend that vehicle drivers focus on observing, keeping a safe distance, and proactively choosing suitable routes, especially during peak hours from 7-9 am, 10:30 am - 12:30 pm and 4-7 pm.
