The working delegation noted many favorable conditions for the urbanization process in 13 areas. However, some criteria need to be further reviewed and clarified, especially the proportion and scale of urban population, including both permanent and temporary residents.
According to Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Truong Hai Long, it is proposed that Ca Mau province continue to compare each criterion with actual conditions; the contents that have not been achieved or are still stuck must clarify the causes and have specific solutions. The project dossier must be tight, substantive, and accurately reflect the characteristics, potentials, and development requirements of each region.
Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh Luan said that the formation of 13 wards will contribute to creating a network of urban centers, growth poles, and focal points connecting regions, in line with the province's development space organization orientation.
Ca Mau province requests departments and branches to continue reviewing and adjusting data and criteria according to reality; ensuring that dossiers are based, correct, sufficient, and clearly explained. Localities are assigned to coordinate with departments and branches to handle outstanding contents, complete dossiers according to progress, and are expected to submit them at the end of August.
