On February 21, information from the Dong Nai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, according to the latest direction, Component Project 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway will be inaugurated in May 2026.
During the 2026 Lunar New Year holiday, this project will be constructed continuously from December 27th to the end of January 7th (including peak days such as the 29th and 1st day of Tet) to maintain the working pace throughout Tet, creating positive momentum, helping the construction site catch up immediately and return to normal construction immediately after the holiday ends.
Leaders of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee visited, wished Tet, and encouraged the team of officials, engineers, and workers who are constructing during Tet at the construction site of Component Project 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway.

The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway project is a key project with a length of more than 53km and divided into 3 component projects. In which, the section through Dong Nai province is about 34km long (including component projects 1 and 2) and the section through Ho Chi Minh City (component project 3) is about 19.5km long.
Component project 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, about 16km long, is being increased by contractors, organizing continuous construction to compensate for slow volume, striving to complete the project on schedule and ensure quality.
Previously, component projects 2 and component 3 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway were planned to organize temporary traffic operation before the Lunar New Year 2026. However, functional agencies assessed that although the main expressway section is basically completed, it does not meet safety conditions, has not completed procedures for temporary one-way traffic, and agreed to continue completing the remaining items.
The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, when completed and put into operation, will contribute to reducing congestion on National Highway 51, while completing the transportation network of the Southern region, creating more favorable connection conditions between Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City, connecting Long Thanh airport.
