The investment project to build Ring Road 1, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section, has its starting point at the intersection with Cat Linh - La Thanh - Yen Lang road at Hoang Cau; the ending point at Voi Phuc traffic junction.
The total length of the route is about 2,274km, with a cross-section scale of 50m.
Total investment of more than 7,210 billion VND. Project implementation period from 2018 to 2026.
The project is invested to complete the entire route according to the plan, with the main items including: Site clearance; foundation, road surface, intersection, drainage, technical trench system, lighting, green trees, sidewalks, traffic organization and relocation of underground and above-ground works within the investment scope.
In addition, 2 overpasses will be built on the route at the Lang Ha - Giang Vo intersection and the Nguyen Chi Thanh intersection.
In which package No. 17 - construction of the overpass at Nguyen Chi Thanh intersection is more complicated because this area is simultaneously constructing the S3 underground station project of urban railway line No. 5 Van Cao - Hoa Lac invested by the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board.
According to the Hanoi City Civil Works Construction Investment Project Management Board (investor of Ring Road 1 project, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section), by early August 2026, package No. 17 - construction of the Nguyen Chi Thanh intersection overpass has completed about 24.45% of the volume.
The contractor has completed the bored piles at the abutments and pillars; and is currently deploying the construction of girder spans.
In which, burning beams S4 is an item located on the ring road of the entire project, this is also a condition for continuing to deploy beam burnings S3 and S5.
In parallel with that, the contractor is carrying out the construction of retaining walls, bridgehead roads, lighting systems and completion items. However, the progress is affected because the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board is slow to hand over the site in the area between piers T3-T4.
Inspecting the Ring Road 1 project on August 6, Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Trong Dong reminded units to focus machinery and vehicles, urgently accelerate progress to ensure that by National Day September 2, Ring Road 1 on the ground will be opened; 2 overpasses on the road must be completed before December 31, 2026.
